"Did you know that the set of beliefs a person holds when they are 13 years old is often what they will die believing?" (George Barna). This means that teaching our children is vital! Among all the Bible stories, memory verses, songs and activities that go into our children’s programs,

it is important that when children graduate from  LRC Kids they haven’t missed Jesus at the center of it all. Our main priority is introducing kids to Jesus and our prayer is that their hearts are captured by God’s love and grace demonstrated at the cross. We hope that they become close followers of Jesus and grow into mature disciples.

Hey Kids, get ready to get Shipwrecked this summer!

At Shipwrecked, kids discover that Jesus rescues them!

Kids participate in memorable Bible-learning activities, sing catchy songs, play teamwork-building games, make and devour yummy treats, experience one-of-a-kind Bible adventures, collect Bible Memory Buddies to remind them of God’s love, and test out Sciency-Fun Gizmos they’ll take home and play with all summer long.

Plus, kids will learn to look for evidence of God all around them through something called God Sightings. Each day concludes with the Sail Away Sendoff that gets everyone involved in living what they’ve learned.

Kids at Shipwrecked VBS will join a missions effort to provide seeds for families in Haiti to grow food.

All children check in at the LRCKids desk in the foyer prior to 9 and 11 AM. Nursery and Preschool children proceed to their program after checking in. Elementary children attend the first part of the main worship service and leave for the LRCKids program just before the sermon.

LRCKids includes:

  • Nursery (0-23 months)

  • Preschool (2 year old-JK)

  • Elementary (SK-grade 5)

** See Calendar tab for most up-to-date LRCKids scheduling information

All volunteers in LRCKids programs are screened through an application, police checks, and reference checks  by our Volunteer Security Coordinator. Volunteers are equipped and trained to properly care for children and shepherd them in their walk with God. We currently have need for volunteers in different areas of Children's ministry.
